Where It Began

The name Punjab trusts.

In 1962, the Baba family opened a small kitchen in Ludhiana, Punjab and built a legacy around one idea: cook honestly, season generously, and never compromise. That kitchen became Baba Chicken — a name locals have queued for across generations.

Decades later, those same recipes — the secret masalas, the slow-cooked gravies, the tandoor technique — make the journey intact to Virginia. Nothing diluted. Nothing rushed. Just the real taste of home.

Great taste lives on forever

The Visionary

Baba's Restro & Bar – Ashburn

Roby Singh and his wife, Tina Kaur, founded Baba's Restro & Bar (Indian Punjabi Cuisine) with a simple dream: to share the authentic flavors and warm hospitality of Punjab with all the communities around.

"We wanted families here to experience the Punjab we grew up with — not an imitation, but the real thing. Real Butter Chicken, authentic flavors, and BABA's original recipes."

Inspired by the rich legacy of Baba Chicken, they brought generations-old family recipes to the United States, preserving the same traditions and signature flavors that made Baba Chicken famous. From every handcrafted dish to the welcoming atmosphere, Baba's reflects the true spirit of Punjabi culture. Today, it is more than a restaurant — it's a place where families gather, friends celebrate, and everyone can enjoy a genuine taste of Punjab.
